The answer to your first question is pretty damn simple. Taxpayers(in any country) should NOT be forced to pay for this sick psycho's habits. Prisoners can have jobs IIRC here, and they can earn money with them, (they get paid very little for things like assembely, I've got a pair of speakers made in a prison workshop)

Now...on to your other point...If this pile of filth is PAYING FOR HIS OWN porn...well, that's a fish of a different color. However, he can have it shipped to his private residence and view it after he is a free man, not while he belongs to the state. And if he's a lifer...sucks to be him. But, see again my point above. He shouldn't even be doing a job that gives him recompense.
