Every primitive culture needs to explain how it has come to be - thus creation-
myths are created. And every primitive culture has likely expirienced floods (even bad ones) - thus
myths are created.
Another myth that occurs on differnt continents is that Earth is flat (and carried on the back of a turtle) - That doesn't make it true.
