• Find your Baldur's Gate 2 installation folder (default is c:\Program Files\Black Isle\BG2 - SoA)
• Find baldur.ini file and open it with a text editor (Notepad will do fine)
• Find the section 'Program Options' and add another line beneath it:
  Debug Mode=1 (capital letters are important)
• Find the section 'Game Options' and add another line beneath it:
  Cheats=1
• Save the file
• Now start the game and load a save
• Press Ctrl+Space (you must hold Ctrl pressed and then hit Spacebar)
• Console will open. Now you can enter various codes used primarily for debugging, but cheating is possible as well.

NOTE: Codes are case-sensitive.

Cheats=1 enables key combinations such as Ctrl+Y, Ctrl+J, Ctrl+Q, etc.
Debug Mode=1 enables the console.
