I could write quite a bit about the road they lead me to being an atheist.

The actions of people like those in the article is only part of the reason. When I was in 20's I did a lot of searching into various faiths. So it is not something I came to lightly. There are still times I actually wish I had some sort of relgious faith to seek comfort, like when my Mother and Nona passed away within the last 3 years, or when close friends are going through trying times. But it is not something that I can believe in and still feel comfortable with myself and my choices. I have a very strong personal code I go by and I'll not violate that.
