I haven't officially "met" you on the forum yet, so I don't want you to think I'm "picking on you", but I am going to address your question of "What is wrong with him showing off his baby?" The answer - quite simply - is....several things.

FIRST - He was on the FOURTH FLOOR of the building. That's a hell of a lot different than holding your baby up or handing him to someone else to show him off. In those cases, you are NOT dangling your child over a drop that will KILL THEM!!!!

SECONDLY - "Michael Jackson is in good shape". Sorry, I don't agree. He may have a good cardio-vascular system for all that dancing, but his Strength is crappy. He could BARELY get the kid over the rail to begin with. He has almost NO upper body or arm strength. And - when the baby's feet drug on the rail - Jackson PULLED ON THE BABY'S HEAD to lift him higher. I sure as HELL hope it WAS a doll, because he obviously has NO IDEA how to actual handle a child (fondling..yes, handling....no).

THIRDLY - Infants are NOTORIOUS for doing the famous "back-arch" where they push with their feet and shoulders and lift their butt. They do this whenever they don't want to be held and I can tell you from personal experience that it is DAMN NEAR IMPOSSIBLE to hold the child with just one arm...even when that arm is wrapped around the kid's chest. I have 3 boys, so I know what I'm talking about here. All three of them (the youngest of which is the same age as the baby in the video) have used the "back arch" trying to slide out of my arms....that's why you ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS keep one hand under the kids BUTT!!! NOT around his head. Jackson could have caused permanent injury to the child by handling him like that.

I'm sorry, Gabriel, I know you aren't defending Jackson's actions...you're just questioning why such a big fuss was made about them.

The only thing I can tell you is that - once you have kids of your own - you'll realize just how totally idiotic and dangerous Michael Jackson's actions were. The baby could easily have slipped out of his arms and plunged to his death.....all because Michael acted without thinking about what he was doing. As a parent, there is just NO justification for that kind of stupidity.
