Heh... I had
MAJOR troubles with him the first time i met him... Took my high level party quite a few reloads to break through his defenses...
On my current game, though, i've beaten him with a level 10 character, no cheese.
It's all about tactics, really.
There are three big holes in his defense. Tell me if you wanna be spoiled.
