Hey Chewie, if you keep at it, you weed out the smart ones leaving less and less capable people to take his place, eventually they become inneffectual. The reverse may apply for both sides. The more people you can get to hate you at an early age, the more leaders as well as followers rise to the occassion of hatred as they grow up.
Also It doesn't take many brains to use a machine gun or make a gas bomb. Especially if you have trained since kindergarten to do so.
My opinion: It won't be violence that solves any problems over there.
Besides, blowing each other up back and forth leads to more blowing each other up back and forth. It's simple logical cause and effect. If a person can't think up and act upon an alternative to violence, they are caught in the vicious cycle.
