I am alarmed at how low our stock index is. I haven't seen it below 9000 in a few years.

Right now it does look like the mattress is the place to keep your money. Like T-bills, there are always CDs. Until the CFOs stop getting caught, we are going to watch the market do spirals down in smoke. I figure in a year, everything will settle out again and things will be a bit more stable. In the meantime, hang in there.

My father was alive during the Depression. I wonder what he would say to stocks, now?
