toms hardware is not necessarily a reputable source..... sure its big but that does not mean they know what they are talking about.....[/QUOTE]They know what they are talking about, but they have a thing against VIA. I have had unusual problems with my VIA chipset, but nothing that cant be fixed by hunting down drivers.

My mobo delivers plenty of power - custom voltage regulator coutesy of my somewhat-*nuts* father - but it still dosent work.
No harm will come to anything but your wallet. Make sure you buy your card from somewhere that will take a return.
