A life sentence for 150$ worth of video tapes, or a $1000 worth of golf clubs is simply ridiculous. Yes they choose to do the crime, but still wouldnt a couple years to think about it, maybe change their attitude. Its not like they are a danger to society so we have to lock them away. I think this law is grossly unconstitutional, and I hope it gets overturned.
