The "hair" is actualy tentacles whith eyes on Sir G
and i think this pic would show how a beholder looks like and the orginale Beholder are comming from the games Eye of the beholder series and Ultima Underworld seies if i dont remember wrong and you knove that Ziroc love those games hehe! It is a AD&D monster!
