Aw, I loved my bard [img]tongue.gif[/img] - it was the first character I played. He definitely was not all that powerful by himself, but he was a great team player, so to speak. Bard song in ToB saved our party's butts many a time. And you never need to carry around those Glasses of ID if you're a bard, apparently he's some kind of trivia genius or something
Was a klepto too. HEE
Kind of fun being able to do support fighting, maging, and thieving for your party, never always doing that same old single skill that you're good at.
I'd say a Monk SEEMS like a boring character - no cool armor, you're better off unarmed, no spells... but then again I haven't played one yet. I'm sure I'll like it when I try it
