Sounds like a reasonable plan, if they can keep the "families" out of the bidding process. Sad that 600 people have to be cut, but those were 600 people who should not have been sucking up education funds in the first place. It is not the governments responsibility to gaurentee employment to all it's civil servants. The Government is responsible to the tax payers and voters to use the money it takes responsibly with as little fraud, waste and abuse as possible. I cannot believe they were ordering custom made doorknobs and clocks for each school. Sounds worse than the military ever thought of being. At least the Military reused designs several thousand times before drafting new ones.
