I actually got to talk to Jennifer the day after her surgery. She was feeling good, but very tired and sore (of course). She asked me to thank everybody for your prayers and to ask for continued prayers as she goes through her recovery.

I spoke to her brother a couple of nights later. He said she was scheduled to go home the next day (last Friday). She will be staying with her parents for the next few months until she is fully recovered. She hasn't felt "good" in over two years and was very weak even before the surgery, so right now she needs to be able to concentrate just on "getting better". I hope to get an e-mail from her as she regains her strength.

I know from experience that it takes at least 3-6 mos to fully recover from major surgery. It's too early to know if the surgery will solve her problem permanently, but everything went as well as it could have for now.

I want to thank ALL of you again for keeping her in your thoughts and prayers. I am very, very touched by your continued concern. [img]graemlins/loveya.gif[/img]
