Saying that the US support in Israel is due to Jewish voters is ridiculous.
Israel was founded in 1948.
The US and USSR were still big foes back then.
USSR was known for her support in the Arab states. The US government knew that if it'll not support Israel, the Arabs will conquer it, and the USSR will be the "Patron" of the entire Middle East. Luckily, it was something that the US could not afford.
They supported Israel by giving them weapons and money.
Israel won the war, and the US is our's "Patron" ever since.
Don't think that Israel is the only one who earns from it - the US forces Israel, through various contracts, to buy their weapons from her exclusively - thus making Billions of Dollars.
Saying that the Israel-US relations is the cause for Sept. 11th is also absurd.
"El Kaida", and actually most of the terror organizations are not against Israel specifically - they are against capitalizm.
That's way they targeted the World Trade Center - the most obvious sign of capitalizm.
