A Fighter is a good thing to Dual from. It enables you to have +5 in any weapons you want (Within Ethos if Cleric or Druid)

Dual from a Lv 2 Fighter, and you can reach a very high level in your seconds class, and still take a +5 in weapons during levelling up in your current class.

Anomen is a perfect example of this. He can have +5 in Mace.
