here. This is a known bug which certainly doesn't make sense. Beneficial magics should never be blocked by MR
Scroll down to "Protection Scrolls Fix" and download it/unzip to your override folder

No, these will always bypass MR.

Without the fix, any character with MR will have the same problems.
