Actually there is a piece of the outrageous or blameworthy that got deleted or removed some how, it continues to give an example of the blameworth or outrageous which indicates that it wouldn't fit where that word was being used.
Here is the actual definition, the dictionary page used symbols that made parts of the text invisible....
2 a : something very difficult or dangerous (the traffic was murder) b : something outrageous or blameworthy (getting away with murder)
Yes you are right, it is a bit anal of me to stick to the correct terms of particular words (like niggardly) But what can I say? It is a particular pet peeve of mine when people anthropamorphize animals ... go figure.
And lest anyone think I am a heartless bastard, I do care about animals and treating them with kindness respect. I owned several dogs as I grew up, and had to put two of them down my self after one got hit by a car and the other tangled with a porcupine. I always made sure to do my best to kill instantly when hunting and actually felt ill when I messed up and the animal suffered before I could finish the job.
