Not meaning to pick on you Willow but the notion that we have almost deforested the world is one of my pet peeves, wether it is the rain forest in South America or the Hardwood forests of north America, we are not denuding the earth. The rainforest is doing just fine and it has been publicly revealed that the disappearing south american rainforest was a scam run from california to bilk millions of dollars from millions of people.
Online Sattelite photos will show you that the Amazon Rain Forest is doing just fine, and will show you that there is plenty of Timber left in the North American continent too.
It has been decades since timber companies clear cut and left waste. Timber companies replant thelands that they cut from and do a credible job of managing the lands in their care...when allowed. When they get interfered with then you get wild fires like we have been seeing in the west recently.
It is also known that younger faster growing trees are the ones that produce more oxygen and scrub the most co2 from the air.
Im not sure but I think the wolves could care less if it is old growth or young growth [img]smile.gif[/img]
