Gentlemen, they're movies, stories, lies, to begin with they're not documentaries. And are not meant to be historicaly accurate, that's what history books are for. Movies are entertainment, you know for fun. There aren't any Galaxies far far away that the jedi fought the evil empire in, or Alien hunters that land in Cental America with nuclear bomb wrist whatches, or cyborgs that travel through time either.

If they are going to make a movie on horific or great events that happened in the past, they SHOULD make them historicaly accurate. Imagine the poor people who fought in, or lost friends or family in a War, but dont get mentioned in a movie portraying it because of a stuck-up Director.[/QUOTE]it is not OK if William Wallace uses Lightsabre and cast fireball. but it is acceptable and fairly historical accurate, if he foguht against his deadiliest adversary Longshanks, and sleep with the queen.
btw, how do you define historically accurate anyway? just because we dont see other allies doesnt mean the movie is biased
and if your arguement of accurate movie is to consider the friends and families of the soldiers who fought in a war, can you record all the south africans from Black Hawk Down? perhaps you will piss off a few of their families by leaving out some of them. some events are bounded to be left out, while some needed artifical modification, due to the difficulty to portrait long living struggles into a 2 hrs movie. so there you got picture. not a lie
