A good idea, it's just that sometimes I've seen topic-titles so long that they mess up the whole forum. Like that the 'box' that shows the most recent post in a forum takes 70% of the screen, because of the title of the post, which then forces the forum name and description to take very much space vertically. But I guess it also depends on the name of the one who had the last post in the long-title thread. Which has a very little chance of happening.
