I suppose if you live where I do, you'd just be glad you still have a job and think about the next promotion.

I started the job I have now, last November (after being out of work for 4 months) and I have not gotten a raise yet. I've been told I'm doing a great job, but that's about it. Business has not been great so I expect very little raise-wise this November. Jobs are hard to come by where I live, but I am always looking. The best time to look for a job is when you already have one.

And, I doesn't pay to get angry because of a missed opportunity. It would only make you look bad, suffering in silence may be the best way to go until you find something else...if it's what you want, that is.
