Jeffi0 - Awww, poor baby squirrel, I hope wasn't lost or something happened to his mama. Similar thing happened to me two years ago, there was this baby squirrel out in this Deli parking lot, not afraid at all, walking up to people. Apparently from what the Deli owner said, something may have happened to its mother, as they found a dead squirrel recently. Who knows, but anyway that particular parking lot isn't really a place for a friendly baby squirrel, lots of teens, thugs and gang members visit there, and some I was afraid might want to "Mess" with the Squirrel. So I put in in a box (easy enough it didn't protest) and took it home. Had it for a week, went online LOL to find what it should be eating (expensive bastaids you'd think nuts is all you gotta buy but Nooooo!). Anyway, it's tail when I brought it home was not fluffy at all, the hairs were all flattened down, and once it turned dark outside it just wanted to sleep, would curl up right on your lap. I made a nest out of this old comfortor for it, and after about 2 days it's tail was all fluffy and it was getting curious and inspecting the room, jumping all over the place.. finally after a week though it was time to bring it to this lady in the neighborhood who the govt pays to take care of abandoned wild animals, as this thing was quick as lightning LOL, and was starting to get nippy too! Either way, it was neat actually touching, feeding and playing with a baby squirrel, never thought I would ever do THAT in my life LOL, and I'm also glad that I didn't get selfish and keep it, I did the right thing by bringing it to that lady, who takes it to a vet and releases it in a safe place one she think's it's ready to go. I hope to this day "Woody" is doing fine!
