I believe they can sense how we are feeling. When my dad died, Seven's son Tiger layed beside me and put his paw on my shoulder when I was crying myself to sleep. He mewed and when I looked at him he just sent me the most intsnse feeling of love from one for another that I have ever felt from an animal.

My Siamese mix, Boo, seemed to know that I was going to have a heart attack before I did too (I didn't know i was going to have one until it hit me lol, I just knew I had been having headaches the week prior to where I had once had a concussion). I definitely pay more attention to how he acts around me now.

None of my kitties use me as a scratching post while I am sleeping. Since I rasied most of them up from kittens, they have had their own places to scratch. They do use my ankles as pillows though lol.

debiler,
I remember your thread and the morning that made you so miserable.
Have things with that particular wild one been going OK since then?
Rex uses a water pistol on an unruly cat we own (William). It keeps him in check whenever he is considering being his bad bad self and I think the watergun is breaking him of his bad behaviour. He's a good cat otherwise.
