[Cerek the Barbaric]

I have a major problem with my copy of BG1. In Chapter 7, I was trying to attend the Inaugeration ceremony when the game bogged down on me. It started continuously looping through the "movie" of people entering the estate for the ceremony.

It actually let me inside, but the "movie" kept running. Also, there were NO dignitaries inside the estate. No Sarevok, no dukes, duchesses,or nobility of ANY kind - just a few guards.

I tried un-installing and re-installing the game. When I did that, it would take 5-10 minutes (real time) for my characters to take just a few steps - so I wasn't even able to get back to the estate the second time around.

Because of this glitch, I was unable to finish BG1. I never had the joy of facing off with Sarevok or seeing how well his spleen fit on the end of my sword.

I should mention that I have a....um......"unofficial"...copy of BG1. The person who made the copy said he had the same problem, only his occured on the Ice Island off of Ulgoth's Beard. Eventually, however, he was able to get past it. I wasn't.

Any advice or suggestions?
