In theory, there is nothing you have to do to stay awake. In fact, there is one thing you must NOT do, which is falling asleep. Instead of focussing on staying awake, focus on not falling asleep. Of course, the best way to do that is by not thinking about sleeping. So, grab a bag of chips, open a bottle of coke and try building a really high house of cards.
