I'm an AD&D dumbass, never played RPG's until BG2, but I know what I like; maybe because I'm used to them, but I kind of like the 2nd edition rules, at least comparing BG2 to NWN... I don't exactly know why, because there's some nice things about 3rd ed like your alignment shifting if you act out of character... Somehow I didn't get that "level-up RUSH" every time I advanced in NWN. And the fireball in NWN sucks. Maybe that was it.
