A Continental Airlines female captain was stopped by airport security for
an extra check and asked to empty her purse. "What are you looking for?"
asked the frustrated pilot.
"Anything you might be able to use to gain access to the cockpit ma'am,"
said the screener.
"Oh, then how about these?" replied the captain, producing the keys to the
Boeing out of her pocket.
"The sad thing is," says Continental president Gordon Bethune, "the
screener kept searching the purse!"
