There are too many adverts around anyway. I can't speak for other places, but in Scotland it is not at all unusual to have upwards of 5 minutes of adverts. It used to be that you pay your TV licencing fee for the BBC so you don't get adverts, and the other channels were free but they came with adverts. Now, with Sky for example, you have to pay a subscription AND put up with seemingly hours worth of adverts...

It's all just down to greed. Eventually there will be adverts no matter where we look, because the corporate fatcatsa just can't get enough of that wonderful cash.
