I seem to recall, Al, that my ex Debz is also ur ex, and she was as much (if not more) of a slut when u went out with her than when I did. Also, I feel it is *very* important to draw to the people's attention that I'm not still under the thumb of her, if indeed I ever was.

The important part in that paragraph is "I'm not still under the thumb" : if I ever was under her thumb, I'm not now, but you...you are STILL under Kirsty's thumb! (for those of you not keeping up, Kirsty is Evil Al's *EX* girlfriend)
