I can honestly say that I've enjoyed every job that I've had as long as I've been there.
On the other hand, I have changed my career on several occasions.
As I've grown, my interests have changed, and my responsibilities have changed. Right out of college, I could work for less than I need now, so working in game development was a great choice. I did what I liked, and loved the folks I worked with. My expenses were minimal, which helped, since the pay was also.
When I've worked for, or contracted to, a company, I've always chosen environments that I would like, and be comfortable in. When situations changed, I've always been able to move on happily.
Only recently, last year, have I been in a situation where I felt taken advantage of by a large company. It is also one of the rare times I've been employed, rather than self-employed.
As Charean pointed out, right now we are self-employed, (My usual preference) but we are trying to turn it into a business, ie. train others to do what we do and build a team.
