1) Buy all four potions of mirrored eyes at the inn. Distribute them among the characters who are getting hit by Aec's deathgaze.
2) Upstairs in the cultists' house buff up on potions and defensive spells, haste, etc. If you have Resist Fear, Remove Fear, Chaotic Commands, and Vocalize, they will all be needed (maybe sleep at the inn beforehand if you have to). If you have a thief stealth him or her. If not, try a potion of invisibility or invisibility spell. Actually, if you have a mage who can cast Shadow Door that would be perfect. Anyway, give this character Algernon's cloak.
3) Upon going downstairs pause immediately and do the following: Target the priestess to kill her straight away. Target summoned monsters or skeletons at the middle if the floor where Aec will appear to keep him busy. When Aec appears he will fight them and not even notice your party.
4) Then once the fight begins have the stealthed or invisible character walk around the room and charm each of the cultists and make them all attack Aec!
5) Once the cultists have been killed, keep putting summoned monsters on Aec and hit him with wands and magic arrows. He will go down eventually.
