There is a lot of fun to be had as a insane bard or mage... nothing more entertaining then starting to play music at unexpected and dangerous times, while the mage is just fun... imagine this, you and your party (mostly lawful good) are going to save a village from a dragon, when suddenly for no reason halfway there you turn a squirrel to stone. Hehehe.
