Denton's claim to fame is that our university, University of North Texas, graduated the following famous people:

Edie Brickell (formerly of the New Bohemians)
Roy Orbison
Phyllis George (former Miss America and now a national spokesperson)
Cybill Sheppard (formerly of "Moonlighting" and "Cybill")
Larry McMurtrey (western author)
Farrah Fawcett (former "Charlie's Angel")
"Mean Joe Green" (football player)
