Dr. Phil already touched on the subject tonight. He said we need to take a look at the industry and the games being produced and played. The mass murderers of tomorrow are the children of today. They grow up playing games with huge levels of graphic violence in which they go around killing anybody that gets in their way or bothers them.
When you add the element of a psychopath or sociopath to a person growing up with this constant exposure to glamorized violence, you get a very volatile mix.
Note that he didn't say video games were solely responsible, or even primarily responsible. But he makes a very valid point. The games available on the popular platforms today have an unbelievable amount of violence in them. Any child who plays these games for any length of time can't help but become "desensitized" to the violence.
