The chant for Necromancy spells is "Vita (life), Mortis (death)," and then something that sounds like "Carrio (whatever...)".

Illusion spells go, "Vertias, reydo, HUP!" Veritas is Latin for truth, so presumably the rest of the incantation is about hiding the truth.

Male and female spellcasters use different sound files for each of the 8 schools of magic, although both genders say the same words. Also, the duration of the chant is determined by the casting time of the spell.

Fortuna statu variabilis est--ergo, draco dormiens nunquam tittilandus.

In my Computer Science class, we were doing recursion a couple of weeks ago, and I managed to work the line, "Ne invoces expellere non possis" into my code. Translation: "Do not call up that which you cannot put down." That's actually a quote from one of the games in the BG series--can anybody who's just as anal-retentive as I am tell me where?
