I always thought it was Swedish, but...

You'll have noticed the wordings are different for each school of magic, but the same for each spell within that school. For Necromantic spells, for example, the character shouts something soundign roughly like Vitac, Mortis, Ahajajay. I'll probably have the spelling wrong, but [img]tongue.gif[/img]

As far as I know (admittedly not that far on this subject) 'mort' is a latin word meaning 'death'. Quite appropriate for a necromantic spell, no?
It would follow that the other words are also (derived from) latin or another language like it.
Once again, I could be completely wrong
