So that justifies taking your living from somebody else? Because that's what I read into this. Let's put it in perspective, my foreman, out of sheer spite one day, had a friend in an official looking car come on to our job site and yell Immigration, as loud as he could in Spanish, while waving his wallet around. There had been 15 people on the job, when the smoke cleared, figuratively speaking, there were 3. 12 of the guys on the job were roofers, and all of them were illegal. I had a buddy that was rotating out three crews to keep his guys working, because he couldn't get enough jobs installing new roofs. I wonder why.
It seems to me that what your advocating is that it would be ok for me to come to your country, and force you to change your native language to mine, and overlook my illegal activities, just because I'm poor, and trying to eat.
When you can go to the local grocery store, and can't read the sign for food, or other products, because it's in a foreign language, come talk to me about immigration problems. When people are trying change everything about your country to be their country, instead of adapting themselves to your culture, come talk to me, until then, what do you really know? Just what you read. What you feel about the topic means very little to me, since you aren't living it every day. I am on Welfare, I have to be, I can't work, can't be in a decently lit room for an extended period w/out severe headaches, and all my paperwork comes in English, and in Spanish. Can somebody explain to me why a non-Hispanic Caucasian male needs paperwork in Spanish? Can somebody else explain to me why there seems to be a need to pass a law against granting non-citizens food stamps/cash assistance. I'll tell you this, the illegal immigrants seem to get the benefits faster than I do.
