No, the way it's supposed to work is ideological opposites are forced to work together to reach a middle ground. This is why I always want to see different parties in power in the different branches of government.
Pelosi had lunch with Bush today and they both stated they would be working through and past ideological differences. This is a good thing, not a bad one. Laws that are middle ground and try to please everybody, require people to get Attorneys and accountants to find the loop holes. I can respect a man that votes his pocket book, "Hale" I do. That's why I don't want them to get along, I want them to fight and piss'n moun at each other. The more fight'n they do the less laws they make, the less I have to pay my attorney.
