I'm actually of the opposite opinion, I think an all out war in the middle east between sunnis and shiites(it would start with an Iraqi civil war and hopefully grow to include Saudi Arabia and Iran, Syria, Kuwait, etc etc. A lack of regional stability would do far more to protect America specifically, and the west in general than continuing to bloody ourselves for people who hate us completely when we're paralyzed by international treaties and media hype from making any solid stands, we hit the bees nest with a rock, now we can let the terrorist groups kill each other off as they seem so intent on doing, better there than here. [/QUOTE]But what if the bad guys seize the day, and turn the whole damn region into an anti-western fortress ? Because that could just as easily be the flipside of the coin. I don't think pulling out right now would be a very wise decision.
