So... basically what you're saying is that the Cleric has the defense of saying "I can do and say whatever I want, because look at what that other guy does! He's just as bad, so I'll use him as an excuse to spout whatever I damn well please, democratic pigs! Tr-la-la-la-la"? Hrm. Not highly intelligent, but hey, that's the world we live in I suppose.

I think you'll also find that the Pope's views are not as extreme as saying 'women deserve to be raped'. But then again, as a victim of the Church's discrimination myself, perhaps I'm not the best person to be asking seeing as I try to have as little do with any religion as I can.

If anything I think that the Church is moving forward to adapt to the world's views, not try to bring barbarism back into society.
[/QUOTE]I agree Dave with your latter statement. The church has been proactively trying to change with modern times. That cleric wants to bring us all back to the Dark Age. I think there should be limits to extreminism when it comes to speech. If we follow a extreme democracy, I would believe there would be chaos.

In another matter, I read this which actually concerned me. (points to Dave)

THE closure of customer toilets in a Myer store due to rampant homosexual activity has exposed a huge list of venues being used by members of a gay website as hook-up points.
Now what the heck is going on here?? Toilets?
