I guess, although I brought up the issue of propoganda being used in Iraq a while back and it raised remarkably few eyebrows.
As for losing the media initiative, actions speak louder than words. It would be easier to win the media war if damaging media ammunition wasn't so readily to hand for the enemy to use.
I do wonder if Rumsfeld lacks understanding on this issue. The US could go on his proposed 24 hour propoganda overdrive, but if the Muslim world doesn't trust American information then I'm not sure what simply giving them more of that information will accomplish.
