Have you seen the way they feed the poor geese? They stick a big funnel half way down its neck, and pour pounds of grain directly into its stomach. The poor bird doesn't even get to swallow anything. It looks pretty distressing for the bird.
But yes I agree - foie gras sure does taste good!
I'm torn between my stomach and my ethics...
