Sorry, no online source for this but it was the leading story on Channel 4 news tonight.
The head of the South London mosque and other community leaders reported Omar Hussain (now in Italy) to police two years ago, saying that he belonged to a group of people who had radical views, were attempting to radicalise Muslim youth and were in their opinion a danger to the country.
The police told them that their hands were tied and they could do nothing.
Just an FYI for all those who accuse the Muslim community of not doing enough to 'turn their own in'.
