That's a bit harsh, I do feel sorry for the guy andhis family, he was innocent.
BUT we can't impose this hindsight on the officers at this time. And we must remember that they aren't just cops with guns, like in other countries, but highly trained officers, SO19 are nearer to SWAT than a nomral US cop say (no disrespect to any US police, I was just trying to make the poin that they are more highly trained in the use and the circumstances surrounding the use of firearms). I think that most of their time not out on the streets is spent training for firearms situations.
