Contrary to what you might have heard, Al Jazeera has
never stated that the US was responsible for the bombing - it only stated that that the market was destroyed in the middle of a US air campaign (which was true) and that both sides denied responsibility.
Al Jazeera went ahead with the screening of the footage of the dead children because it believes that war should not be sanitised. Western media is keen to show things being blown up - they tend not to like to show the aftermath. Why not? If you don't show the consequences, you only tell half the story.
Al Jazeera has shown dead Iraqi soldiers and dead US/UK soldiers
Al Jazeera has shown US/UK POW's and Iraqi POW's.
Al Jazeera has shown the destruction of the cities and it has reported the people greeting the US soldiers as friends.
Finally, FOX, CNN and the BBC have shown pictures of dead Iraqi troops, and captured POW's - I take it that you are equally outraged by their actions too?
And finally, regarding the market bombing, why have so few US journals picked up this story, when most of the international media have?:
