Sorry for the Mmmmmm treatment ole pal, I agree it is useful sometimes . As for his comments (ie the slaughter guy), I don't percieve them to be trivialising anything so I will give you my perspective of his post. Rude - yes, pointed - yes, attention grabbing - most definitely . I read them from the perspective that they are intended as a dig alomg the lines that Bush now has his war, let the slaughter commence. How does that trivialise anything - it casts the war into sharp relief against the backdrop of heavy casualties that must surely know occur. The issue for the poster appears to be deep concern at the human cost that is about to be paid.

Might is right? How does that play into this? No one is saying he can't have an opinion.

It sure looked to me like there were quite a few people shouting down the tiny little anti-war protester. If enough posts unfairly (from the perspective of my answer to the paragraph above) howl down someone saying "you are a troll - see how we all agree - why don't you go away" is that not an application of this "might" philosophy?

I can't answer the question he asked because I'm not sure what the "odds" being given on Iraqi deaths are, and I'm not sure what the minimum "bet" is. Maybe a Las Vegas or Montecarlo site might have the answer to the question he asked, but no one here does.
I have agreed a truce with Nachy to drop the subject and get back on topic, but as Ronn is a good friend I have taken the time to answer his questions.
