Most of the patches you can find at Baldurdash (
http://members.rogers.com/mrkevvy/) can be applied to the Mac version of BG. You just copy them into your overrides folder - you just don't get the convenience of using their installer since it's an exe.
If you want to install everything, I think someone has even made a Mac installer, but I don't recall the link off the top of my head.
