I did see a disturbing story about an American couple who had funded a cloning program in hopes of having a clone made of their toddler who had died. They did not want to try to have other kids, they wanted a clone of the child they lost because she was irreplacable. For some reason, they couldn't understand that a clone would be a replacement and not the actual child resurrected.
