I have just installed the "respawning" patch for ToSC - and everything was fine for about 3 minutes (!). I then lost all sound in the game - it crashed back to windows, and when I tried starting the game again I get a windows error message _ "Assertion Error in D:\Dev\chitin\chDimm.cpp line no 581. Unable to open BIF

I have fully installed both BG & ToSC.

I have tried to open several times, to no avail. PLEASE don't tell me I have to reinstall/lose my saves!!!

I would also like to add my heartfelt thanks to this forum - searching through old posts has answered many a perplexing problem!
